Wyld Sauna: UK’s first floating sauna opens in Princes Dock

Wyld Sauna combines Scandinavian traditions and urban lifestyle, offering the perfect place to rest, relax and recharge.
Wyld Sauna offers guests a central location to unwind and relax, with a luxurious 30-person sauna, four ice baths provided by the Urban Ice Tribe, two cold waterfall showers, four warm outdoor showers with salt rubs, beautiful changing rooms with sophisticated decor and direct access to the waters of Princes Dock for a post-sauna dip.
Wyld Sauna will also offer craft coffee, acai bowls, Buddha bowls, takeaway salads, protein balls, refreshing juices and smoothies from Liverpool-based health food restaurant Pomegranate, which will have a dedicated kiosk, as well as electrolyte water to help guests stay hydrated after their sauna experience.
Wyld Sauna is located on Princes Parade in Princes Dock, part of Liverpool Waters, and is open daily. Guests can book their preferred one-off time slots or use the Wyld Card; exclusive booking packages offer flexibility and accessibility. Register in advance on our website to take advantage of these starter packages and make Wyld an affordable addition to your daily routine.
By offering Wyld cards, the team aims to build a community of healthy lifestyle enthusiasts who value an authentic and sustainable experience in the new centre, bringing traditional Scandinavian sauna into modern urban life and creating a community environment accessible to all.
All guests will be sent a unique code 15 minutes prior to arrival, which will allow them to use the sauna and other facilities.
With stunning views of the Liverpool skyline, the floating sauna combines Scandinavian tradition with the pulse of the city. Made from heat-treated alder wood, the sauna is naturally antibacterial, chemical-free and cool to the touch, making it both comfortable and eco-friendly. For a truly Scandinavian experience, Wyld offers a Finnmark blender, salt scrub and sauna cap; Finnmark is synonymous with the authentic sauna experience.
In an effort to protect the environment of Wyld, they operate under the slogan “No soap, no problem” and strive to conserve water, preserve nature and respect Wyld’s traditions. Inspired by Scandinavian simplicity and respect for nature, Wyld follows a “less is more” philosophy and asks visitors not to use soap or artificial products on the premises. Instead, Wyld offers eco-friendly salt scrubs for gentle cleansing, helping to keep the water clean and supporting local biodiversity.
This approach reflects the brand’s commitment to protecting natural habitats and creating authentic, sustainable sauna experiences. By keeping the water clean and strengthening the connection with nature, Wyld creates a conscious public space where guests can focus on what’s truly important: reconnecting with themselves, each other, and the environment.
A full member of the British Sauna Association, Wyld Sauna is suitable for everyone from sauna novices to seasoned sauna enthusiasts, and is the perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life.
Guests are encouraged to use the facilities at their own discretion, such as taking an ice bath, simply enjoying the warmth of the sauna or free floating from the Wyld’s pontoon directly into the cold waters of Princes Dock, which proudly has been rated ‘Excellent’ by the Environment Agency’s water quality standards.
“We’ve put a lot of effort into creating a stunning 30-person floating sauna, as well as larger spaces including ice baths, heated outdoor showers, luxurious changing rooms and more. Wyld was created to provide our community with a space to breathe and relax, a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city where the stress of everyday life melts away as soon as guests arrive, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our first guests on Saturday, November 23.”
“Liverpool is an incredible city and the location we have chosen for Wyld Sauna could not be more appropriate: Princes Dock. Guests will have the opportunity to admire Liverpool’s famous skyline while enjoying the warmth of the sauna, a refreshing cold water dip or a soothing ice bath. We hope our guests will find peace at Wyld and enjoy the many benefits of the sauna and cold water therapy.”
To celebrate the launch of Wyld, we are launching an exclusive pre-order package. Users who register online in advance can take advantage of the “Wyld Card” starter pack, making Wyld an affordable addition to their daily life. Reservations can now be made through the online system.
