Sauna and Banya Hat – Men and Women Sauna Hat Set

Winter may be over, but a cozy robe is a small luxury that can improve the living conditions in your home no matter the season. The right men’s robe, paired with your favorite pair of slippers, can make our lives more enjoyable in a way that many other practical outdoor clothing items cannot.
The best men’s robe we tested was the Parachute Classic Turkish Cotton Robe, which is the perfect combination of a soft towel and comfortable, lightweight loungewear. If you’re looking to stay cool in warm weather or just lounging, we recommend the H by Frette Pique Kimono.
Beyond the obvious details like stitching and fabric quality, we also consider each robe’s design, lining (if any), intended use, and length. Here are a few more of our recommended men’s robes to add to your loungewear collection.felt sauna hat (3)

Plush robes that resemble wool or fur are among the most luxurious styles in the luxury clothing category. Silk may be softer, but plush robes are more comfortable, and the classic Turkish cotton Parachute robe stands out in this category.
The Coyuchi Organic Waffle Robe is made from breathable waffle fabric that is lighter and dries faster than other robes we tested. It is made from long-staple, pre-dried organic Turkish cotton that feels soft to the touch.
The Magic Linen Waffle robe is made from the same breathable material as the brand’s premium sheets.
Thin yet thick, the H by Frette Pique Kimono is a lightweight, cool, breathable and quick-drying robe that’s perfect for any season.
Incredibly soft and absorbent, the Land’s End Turkish Terry Bathrobe provides a truly luxurious feel at an affordable price.
We tried several plush robes for this article, and the Parachute Classic Turkish Cotton Bathrobe was the softest to the touch, best fitting, and lightest.
Like any good, high-quality plush bath towel, this one is made from long-staple (or long-thread) Turkish cotton. The longer the fibers (or threads) of the cotton, the softer the fabric will be, and the fewer threads will show during the weaving process. You won’t have any trouble using it to dry off your body, and it won’t tire you out while you’re doing chores. The only reason we don’t think this is the best men’s robe is if you’re wearing it in a warm climate.
For a person who is 6’1″, the length of the large robe will be a few inches below the knee. The sleeves fit comfortably around the wrists without being tight or constricting like some other robes. (Other robes are best worn underneath.)
The shawl collar is relatively thick, but not as thick as some backpacks that force you to lean your head forward when you read on the couch. The strap is thick and very durable. The front pocket is square and facing up, making it easy to store and access your Kindle or smartphone.
The only downsides are that the sleeves are too thin to wear underneath, the thick shawl collar may be uncomfortable for some, and it may be too soft in warm weather.
Essentially, the Coyuchi Organic Waffle Robe is a spa robe, similar to what you might see at a W hotel or Bliss spa. It’s made from 100% organic, long-staple Turkish cotton and is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Made Safe certified. More information on both certifications can be found in the Glossary section below.
The impeccably soft organic cotton and textured weave make this robe lightweight, flowing, cool, and comfortable. While some other waffle robes don’t offer as much coverage, the waistband on this robe is not prone to coming undone. We like the large pockets, although they do have limited weight capacity—you might have a hard time fitting even a smartphone in there. The only downside for some is the wide sleeves, which can get in the way or catch on things, but you can always roll them up. It will also shrink a bit after the first wash, so you might need to size up.
Overall, this men’s robe is pretty wicking, as far as waffle cotton fabric goes. It won’t dry you out like the plush robes we recommend, but it’s lightweight, incredibly soft to the touch, and much cooler, so it’s also a great robe choice for men who are prone to heat.
In addition to our luxurious Magic Linen sheets, which we have tested and proven to be durable, their waffle linen robes are also the perfect robes for men, especially those who prefer a breathable, dry fabric. This robe is made from a medium-weight linen and lightweight cotton blend without harmful chemicals or dyes. It is woven from a tightly woven waffle fabric that naturally exfoliates as it dries. True to the nature of linen, this robe features a loose fit and drape.
The brand’s medium-size robe ends a few inches below the knee for a 6-foot-2 person. Linen robes typically have wider sleeves, but their waffle design allows the sleeves to be rolled up to prevent them from slipping down. This style also features a hood to help keep moisture in while you air dry your hair.
Like all linen products, this robe wrinkles easily. If you are bothered by the creases and do not want to iron them, choose a different fabric or a darker color to hide the creases.
Pro tip: Remove your sheets from the dryer while they’re still slightly damp so you can smooth out wrinkles with your hands. Read our full review of Magic Linen Bedding’s deep sheets to learn more.
Casper may be best known for its mattresses, but the brand’s sleepwear and loungewear collections are just as good. The loose fit of this Snoozewear robe hugs your body like you’re under a blanket, but still allows you to move freely like some traditional men’s robes.
The Snoozewear Blanket Robe comes in three colors: oat milk, indigo, and white, and in unisex sizes (small, medium, and large). I chose the medium based on the size chart, and it was perfectly loose. You can get a comfortable, loose fit without having to size up. Plus, it has buttons (unlike the traditional kimono-style obi) and roomy pockets for your smartphone, TV remote, or other essentials for a comfortable stay.
Overall, the Snoozewear Blanket Robe has made a huge difference to how I feel at home when I’m not in my bedroom. The price may seem a little steep, but that’s only if you consider it as just a robe or a blanket — two things you probably already own. Essentially, the Snoozewear Blanket Robe is both, making it more versatile than either a robe or blanket on its own. Even if I don’t wear it all day, it definitely allows me to easily get through the day without losing the comfort of my bed. — Amir Ismael, Insider Reviews Fashion Editor
The Land’s End Turkish Terry Bathrobe is incredibly soft and moisture-wicking, a real treat for an affordable price. We could wear it forever, but we don’t like the privacy, so we only use it in the mornings, on weekends, or after swimming or showering. The shawl collar is super fluffy for added comfort.
Terry cloth, especially in 14-ounce sizes like this one, can sometimes have loose threads or other uneven weaves, but the Land’s End robe has none of those issues. After three washes, it hasn’t shrunk, lost its softness, or faded. This robe comes in a variety of colors, from charcoal to light blue, so you might want to consider it if the standard white isn’t your thing. The medium fits perfectly—not too tight, but not too constricting, and the sleeves reach to the wrists.
A close second was the Men’s Spa Robe from competitor The Company Store. It’s just as absorbent as the Land’s End robe when worn after a bath, and it hasn’t shrunk or lost its softness after three washes. But ultimately, the Land’s End robe was named the best men’s terry cloth robe because it’s softer and about 5 inches longer, which helps create a true spa-like feel.
You’re probably familiar with UGG’s incredibly cozy and warm boots, but the brand also offers a full-body robe in the UGG style. It’s incredibly warm, especially considering how lightweight it is once you put it on. We tested it in early-morning 90-degree weather (outside the house while the dog was doing his business), and it stayed warm and cozy for the few minutes we spent outside in lightweight pajamas. Size M/L measures 45 inches, which would be just above the calf of a six-foot-tall person.
This UGG robe is incredibly soft, especially thanks to the double wool fleece lining. It’s comfortable, not too loose, and not too tight for my 175-pound frame. The shawl collar, especially in the black and marl options, contrasts beautifully with the outer layer, giving it a classic, elegant look that’s much more stylish than many of the other robes in this roundup.
Our only complaint about the UGG Robinson robe is that the outer knit easily collects pet hair and lint, but that’s why someone invented a lint roller. The robe may shed on the first wash, which is not uncommon with new wool garments. But the robe didn’t shrink much, and the fabric remained soft and comfortable even after three washes. The workmanship is on par with the other robes in this review, with no loose threads, snags, or other defects. It’s a warm, comfortable robe that also gets high marks for style.
For plus-size men, navigating the clothing world can be overwhelming, and finding the right men’s robe can be even more challenging. Luckily, LL Bean has released a larger version of its best-selling Plaid Flannel Robe, available in sizes up to 3XL. The brand uses long-staple cotton to make its robes, which makes the fabric more durable and soft. Plus, LL Bean is committed to making products that last, and offers a generous warranty that allows you to return the item within one year if you’re not completely satisfied with it for any reason.
Made from super-soft brushed Portuguese cotton flannel, this robe is perfect for three seasons, depending on where you are. It features multiple pockets (one on the chest and two on the sides) and is available in three classic check patterns.
The long version of this robe is sized for men up to 6’3” and is 2” longer than the regular version, with 1” longer sleeves. The robe hits just below the knee, so if you’re taller, the length will be a little shorter. However, this robe is made from warm flannel and paired with the brand’s pajamas, it’s perfect for walking the dog on a cold morning. The 3XL size will fit men with waists up to 50” long.
There are two main types of hotel robes: the one we recommended above, a lighter option that can be worn on the patio or pool deck, and the plush, almost parka-like Four Seasons Spa Robe.
This is a robe you can lounge in, but not necessarily wear around the house. It’s designed for relaxation and nothing more – not because it’s from Four Seasons, but because it’s so thick you’ll get hot if you try to do anything else.
So this robe is not suitable at all. It is not as elegantly thin and flowing as linen or light waffle cotton. It is more like a parka for heavy snowfall.
Former senior reporter Connie Chen, who wrote our guide to the best robes for women, liked the lining and secure double-loop waistband, but found the regular/large size was tight around her wrists and came up to her mid-calf.
Like all of our recommendations for the best men’s robes, these are best washed in cold water and tumble dried on low.
While it has nothing to do with the robe itself, its decorative bow tie and wax-sealed packaging make it a great gift (even if you’re just buying it for yourself).
We’ve already recommended two lightweight robes on this list—the Waffle and the Linen—but they don’t have the absorbency or flexibility of the H by Frette Pique Kimono.
The sleeve length and texture of this robe are similar to a taekwondo uniform. The thick fabric provides more coverage than waffle or linen, and the short sleeves won’t restrict movement, even in the kitchen. Of all the robes we tested, this was the one we wore to spend the day doing housework.
Typically, marcella (or marcella) is woven from fine ribbed cotton. It is breathable, durable, and easy to care for.
The robe is so tightly woven that we could barely find a single thread along the seams, let alone signs of unraveling after three washes and hours of wear.
For a person who is 6’11″, a large kimono pique would be appropriate, falling a few inches below the knee, with sleeves that reach a third of the way up the forearm and well above the wrist. The square pocket is easily accessible and sturdy enough to hold a smartphone, but probably not big enough for most Kindles.
A cozy robe that’s perfect for any season, this one combines the soft texture of plush, waffle, or linen fabrics. With the tight weave and durability of pique fabric, it’s no surprise that it’ll last longer than many of the other men’s robes we tested. The only downside is that some people may not like the snug fit of this fabric.
Since its founding in Milan in 1978, Versace has been known for its luxurious pieces featuring bold colors and patterns. The brand brings that style right into the bedroom with the I Love Baroque Robe, a soft and cozy robe featuring a print of the iconic Versace logo. And because it’s Versace, the sleeves, deep patch pockets, and detachable waistband are all decorated with a bold gold and black Grecian-inspired print, featuring the brand’s signature Medusa head, laurel wreath, and other details in what the brand calls a “baroque print.” You can also customize your robe by hand-embroidering up to nine sequin characters.
This luxurious version of a premium men’s robe comes in 10 colors, from classic black and bright red to a sparkling fuchsia that’s perfect for lazy lounging. Available in sizes up to 3XL, the soft, thick terry fabric is perfect for wrapping yourself in after a bath rather than drying off with a towel. However, some customers have noted that the robe isn’t as soft as expected and that pet hair and lint accumulate easily.
As with most designer pieces, the price tag comes with a premium, but Versace makes this robe in Italy to exacting standards, so you can be confident it’s going to last.
If you’re looking for a men’s robe that can compete with the clothes you wear outdoors, look no further than Dandy Del Mar. The once-obscure Californian brand has become a leader in modern casualwear, with its pieces making numerous TV appearances (one of its best swim trunks, for example, appeared in the film White Lotus). With a retro ’70s vibe, this pool robe is a midi length that hits just above the knee. If you prefer a longer fit, size up. The Berdea Tayana print features a beautiful geometric pattern on a green base that’s slightly maze-like.
While this Dandy Del Mar robe is a little thin, especially compared to the other robes in this review, it is perfect for summer and absorbs water well without leaving a wet feeling or sensation. And it dries quickly, too. Unlike other 100% cotton robes, the Tropez robe is made from a cotton-polyester blend, which is softer and more stretchy. If you wash it according to the washing instructions, it will not shrink.
