One little trick I learned is that if you need to secure something really heavy, install two magnetic tool strips in parallel about three inches apart. You can fit three pairs of skis on one rack if you rotate the orientation of every other pair. You probably won’t be able to fit more than two because of the size of the bindings. I bought two racks and stacked them right on top of each other. It took me about 30 minutes to do both steps, including using extra screws to double-fasten the racks (which is not necessary, but I decided to do). I placed each side 32 inches apart, which is perfect for all my gear. Now my gear isn’t on the floor, in the way, or dragged by those vertical ski racks that I don’t like.
