Liverpool’s water sauna is offering a ‘dockside cold plunge’ for the first time for avid swimmers. Tony McDonough
Liverpool’s first floating sauna has finally opened its doors, giving brave visitors the chance to take a winter dip on the pier.
First announced earlier this year, Wyld Sauna will be located on Princes Wharf in Liverpool Water, home to thousands of apartment dwellers and hundreds of office workers.
The Wyld sauna has space for 30 people and offers ice baths, hot showers and changing rooms. If you’re feeling brave in December, you can simply jump into the icy water at the dock to cool off.
For those who prefer a more gentle post-sauna relaxation, there are coffee, acai bowls, Buddha bowls, takeaway salads, protein balls, pomegranate juice and Liverpool smoothies, as well as electrolyte water.
Visitors can book their preferred time slot for a stand-alone visit or use Wyld cards to book a flexible and affordable package. Visitors who register in advance can take advantage of an introductory package.
All guests will receive a unique code 15 minutes before arrival, allowing them to use the sauna and other facilities. Wyld offers a true Scandinavian experience, including a Finnmark blender, salt scrub and sauna cap.
John Miller, co-founder of Wyld Sauna, said: “We have been working hard behind the scenes to create an impressive floating sauna that can accommodate 30 people and has more options.
“Wyld was created to provide our community with a space to relax and unwind, an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, where the stress of everyday life melts away when guests arrive, and we look forward to welcoming our first guests.”
